Her artwork is also a part of several private collections throughout the United States. Her nature drawings, landscapes, still lifes, and portraits are focused on the concept that the beauty of our natural world is an arrangement of unique forms and textures. "While looking closely at the layering of colors and shapes we are often surprised and delighted at what we may find within," artist, Diane M. Stark Gronewold comments while talking about her work. Many times in her artwork she also explores the mysterious qualities that occur when areas are created using only black, white and gray value progressions. This concept came from a degenerative eye condition that her father experienced which first created a circular blind spot in the center of his vision. This area gradually became larger and larger until only a small amount of peripheral vision remained. She has many times worked this thought into her work as to what it would be like to have areas of sight distorted or even absent.
