"Grey Dew Won't Do . . ."
23.5" x 34.5"
pastel on matt board

A dramatic depiction of dahlias up so close that they seem to explode into the room. The white, pink, and red dahlias and dark green leaves have a personal touch by having three "dew drops" in black, white, and gray tones that are an expression of the eye condition that Diane's father developed that started with a distorted spot in the center of his vision that progressively got worse until all that was left was his peripheral vision.
