This warm, peaceful still life has the flowing beauty of nature shown in the white vase of tulips along with the feeling of serenity the candles give as they stand tall in the orange, pink, and lavender tulip candle holders. The glowing wood tones along with the home-made doilies make us feel right at home. There is also a personal touch by having three circles in black, white, and gray tones that are an expression of the eye condition that Diane's father developed that started with a distorted spot in the center of his vision that progressively got worse until all that was left was his peripheral vision.
