This peaceful still life of home grown goods reminds us of the comforts of the kitchen, with all of its warmth and satisfaction. The copper pail is filled with luscious apples, oranges, pears, cherries, and onions. The canning jars display a menagerie of fruits and vegetables including hot peppers, beets, melon pieces, strawberries, blueberries, and pickle planks. The onion and the half peeled lemon lets us know that this is harvest in progress. The warm reflection on the copper pail gives us the feeling that we are home.
